Come and Rest

Airbnb Superhost

Are you weary?

Come away and quiet the “noise” of your day-to-day life.

Perhaps you are in a period of discernment, navigating a potential change.

Walk the labyrinth. Center yourself. Feel the earth beneath your feet.

Are you dry, empty, burned out?

Hear the invitation in these words of Jesus:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

– Matthew 11:28-30 MSG

Experience God in the natural world:

Earth

Walk the labyrinth, an ancient circuitous path that leads to the center and out again. Feel the earth beneath your feet, a place for you to stand. Explore the greenhouse and gardens where growth is always taking place, no matter what season.

Wind

The Hebrew word for Spirit is ruach (pronouced roo-akh), which means “breath” or “wind”. Experience the gentle breeze on your face as you lay in the hammock, or the powerful winds of NC storms. We don’t attempt to control it; we’re just along for the ride!

Water

The water can hold you, all parts of you. Submerge yourself in the waters of Christ’s love. Whether you are soaking your feet, floating, or actively swimming in our salt water pool, may you sense the invitation of the Spirit to go ever deeper.

Fire

Join us around the fire pit or sit in solitude as you consider the rich imagery used in scripture around the element of fire.

Be intentional about carving out some space for you to receive!
